How long does it take to order a dress?
The standard order time is between 12 – 16 weeks depending on the designer.
What if I have not allowed enough time to order my dress?
Don’t start to worry just yet. We do sell our stock off the rail. Also many of our suppliers carry a certain amount of stock. Obviously the later you leave it the more limited your choice will be. Rest assured we will do our very best to help where possible.
How do I pay?
Once you have chosen a dress we will require a 50% deposit with your order. The final balance will be due within 2 weeks of your dress arriving with us. We do offer a payment plan should you wish to spread the cost of your dress over the 12 weeks. We accept cash, cheques and most major credit cards. We do not accept American express.
How do you know what size to order?
We will take your measurements and order the size that is closest to your measurements following the manufactures size chart. Sizes may vary slightly between designers.
Do I need to make an appointment?
You are welcome to call into Elegant Brides at anytime to browse but appointments are recommended if you are planning to try on dresses.
Are alterations always necessary?
Not always. Alterations usually involve the length and under the arms.
Are alterations included in the price?
No. All alterations are carried out on the premises by one of our highly experienced dressmakers. We charge by an hourly rate. Should you wish to discuss this please do not hesitate to ask. Should you wish to take your dress to someone else for alterations please ensure they are experienced and confident in working with bridal gowns.
